Mule Ride - Rancho Gaspareño
Have you ever wondered what life was like for a traditional Baja Sur Cowboy? What traditions did they have, and how did they manage when the only form of transportation was with a trusted (and maybe a little stubborn) mule? We start, as good stories always do, at the end! By sharing our traditional costumes, the differences between the uses not only of the clothes, saddles and all the equipment we use (and still wear!). Learn tips and useful secrets to live adventures and survive in the mountains as a Baja Sur rancher.
To start your mule ride, you will first meet your new best friend of the day: your mule! His name, unique traits and personality! You’re welcome to take your mule out of its corral, brush it and saddle it if you wish. Along your way, you'll learn about endemic plants, birds, and wildlife. Like life on the ranch, time will become irrelevant and you will measure your day with new and fun experiences. How many times have you had the opportunity to stop and smell the bulls?
Halfway through, we stop to marvel at the drastic contrast of Sierra that meets the sea. Immense, wise mountains dotted with golden sand and surrounded by a dry forest filled to the brink of discreet life meets the imposing, unpredictable, unique, wild, blue as you can get, Sea of Cortez.
After our smooth journey, we bid farewell to our trusted new friends and gather to enjoy an organic meal from ranch to table, carefully prepared by our in-house chef, who will work his magic to leave your heart full of flavor and joy.
